A True Family
Notre Dame Academy is a school with a unique character. It is built on the principle of a large family that raises its children, each according to their individual needs and abilities.
Everything is centered on the child. The goal is to meet each student where they are upon arrival and provide them with the fundamental skills they often lack. Once these essential foundations are acquired, the student can progress to the grade appropriate for their age and make quick advancement.
We use a traditional, proven teaching method, while remaining open to more modern educational concepts. We emphasize the quality of handwriting, the neat presentation of assignments, and good student behavior in general.

Notre Dame Academy operates in an exceptional setting, surrounded by nature and far from urban insecurity. This incredible site contributes to the harmony of this model school. The students are very receptive to this calm and pleasant environment. They feel safe and can fully focus on their studies. They have the opportunity to participate in some outside activities such as organic farming, learning about the ecosystem and wildlife surrounding them, thus broadening their horizons regarding nature and environmental preservation.
We have a unique opportunity to have our school established on a very large countryside property, ensuring peace and quiet for the students. Although located in the backcountry, it is just an hour away from the city of Chicago, and thus can benefit from all the educational resources offered by that city: museums, events, etc.
The students acquire the foundations of Christian morality and apply these principles of charity, mutual help, service, and a love of a work well done in their daily lives. It is interesting to observe that the students are happy to come to school. In fact, they find themselves in another family that cares for them.
In summary, we see our school as a model of education that we wish to replicate on a larger scale, always maintaining the same principles of Christian morality, the fruits of which are charity, courage, and a desire to always do better.
